Two Cornerstone Christian School groups entered the Smokefree Rockquest this year. Year 11 Namory K and Year 10s Luana W and Olivia B sang, strummed, bowed and beatboxed out their original songs at the Globe Theatre. Competing for two finalist spots against about a dozen usually older and more experienced musicians, we're proud of the effort these students put in, as well as the positive way in which they represented the school.
Namory aka "MC Keita" was particularly popular - with requests for him to re-enter the stage for a beatbox battle.
Luana and Olivia were a Ukulele/Violin duo and called themselves "A Series of Fandom Events". They still hope to win the regional Lyric writing competition for their song Dark Lightning.
"A Series of Fandom Events" violin solo, followed by an "MC Keita" beatbox.

Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.
